Emirates revamps drinks

Emirates has announced that they have “refreshed” the spirits offering across all cabin classes onboard, from the luxury First Class cabin right through to Economy. With all Emirates flights, spirits and drinks are complimentary on all flights, routes and cabin classes. Next time when travelling on Emirates take note of the changes and spoil yourself with the premium selection of whiskey, cognac, gin, vodka and flavoured liqueurs along with many more during your flight.

A in house team has spent two years working closely with supplies to curate the new spirit and liqueur menu. Emirates believes that by investing in long term partnerships with its suppliers, it will allow them to provide an exclusive selection onboard to passengers. Emirates have partnered with some of the world’s best and well known brands.

It’s not just a few drinks at have been changed, over 30 new spirits and liqueurs are now being offered across all classes, with Emirates saying “is compliments their world class offering of over 80 fine wines and champagnes served across its network daily”.

Emirates is proud to offer travellers a mix of niche, handcrafted brands along with well known brands such as Hennessey’s which is loved by travellers onboard. If you are travelling in the luxury is first class cabin, you might just get the opportunity to try the exclusive Hennessy Paradis Imperial on selected routes for a limited time. In Australia a 700ml bottle would cost around $2,800.

The new spirits and liqueurs menu was launched with a special, first-of-its kind Cognac tasting at the Emirates onboard lounge, on their flagship A380-800 superjumbo. While travelling on a flight to Paris last month. – Where was my invitation?
This was held at 40,000 feet by the owner and chairman of Tesseron Cognac, Mr Alfred Tesseron . Tesseron Lot 29 XO is a niche, handcrafted Cognac that is highly scored by celebrated wine critic Robert Parker. The Tesseron brand is years old and was founded back in 1905. It’s still a family owned company, and over those 113 years they have earned a strong reputation of excellence.

First Class 

Popular brands accompany company Tesseron and Hennessey’s in the First Class cabin , with the like of Dalmore King Alexander III, which is the only single malt Scotch whisky created using the unique six-cask finish. Belvedere luxurious vodka, Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch whiskey and premium Guatemalan run, Ron Zacapa Centenario XO.

In Business Class and on hand at the iconic Emirates A380 bar, passengers can enjoy Glenfiddich Solera Reserve, a fifteen year old single malt Scotch whiskey. A premium small batch bourbon from Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select, craft gin Sipsmith and many more.

Emirates is also serving beverages such as Amarula, which is a fruit cream liqueur, available in all classes onboard and also at the onboard bar on the A380.

In conjunction with its new spirits and liqueurs offering. Emirates has also made changes to the cocktail menu, making additions such as Negroni, Old Fashioned and Aperol Spritz. While also retaining the popular cocktails on the menu such as the classic Bloody Mary, Mojito and Kir Royal.

Some of the most requested drinks onboard Emirates flights are Jack Daniels whiskey, Sipsmith Gin and Chivas Royal Salute whiskey.
