Emirates, one of the world’s largest international airlines has renewed the partnership with Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport racing. This combined partnership will be in effect for 5 years, until the end of 2022.

The gulf carrier has been the global partner with Formula 1 since 2013, the new agreement will see Emirates enjoy expanded branding opportunities, at over fifteen races on the FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar across Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and South America.

This new agreement came into effect at the start of the 2018 season in March. The first race of the season was held in Melbourne, the new agreement/partnership includes Emirates being the sponsor of the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona and also for the German Grand Prix held in Hockenheim on the 20 – 22 July.

Formula 1 racing began in 1950 and is known as one of the world’s most prestigious motor racing competitions, as well as being one of the world’s most popular annual sporting series. The motorsport race commences in March and concludes in November, in that time frame the race travels to 21 countries, across 4 continents, holding 21 individual races.

With Emirates being the global partner of Formula 1 for the next 5 years, the airline will have extensive trackside branding at all races, hospitality for guests at the Paddock Club, interactive fan engagement activities at F1 Fan Zones and F1 Fan Festivals, as well as providing supercar hot laps at eight races and Emirates branding across digital media assets. An amazing benefit to Emirates’ own Skywards members is the ability to use the miles that they have earnt travelling across the Emirates network to bid for exclusive VIP experiences at various races.

Emirates currently flies to more than 155 destinations, across 6 continents from is Dubai hub, and the ability to connect fans to most of the counties hosting races including Austria, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Hungary, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Russia, Brazil and the United States.
