It’s that time of year again when British Airways work with some of the biggest celebrities that the United Kingdom has to offer. Those chosen celebrities come together to create an inflight safety video, all in the name of charity. British Airways is proudly partnered with Comic Relief through their Flying Start charity program.

The safety video prior to take off is the most important part of the flight and only requires your attention for five minutes, you never know one day you might need to rely of this information if you have to experience and emergency situation, it could literally mean the difference between life or death. The new safety video portrays an important safety message and instructions, but in a light hearted, humorous and engaging way.

Iconic celebrities including Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley, Little Britain co-star David Walliams and James Bond star Naomi Harris have come together to create a second instalment of the British Airways star studded pre-flight safety video. The video, which can be seen below features seven British celebrities auditioning for a part in the safety video. Comedian Asim Chaudhry attempts to direct their every move while also trying to talk up British model Jourdan Dunn in an attempt to get a ‘selfie’ with her. All the actors point out the important safety features of each aircraft.

The video promotes Flying Star, the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief. The charity has supported over 500,000 children across the United Kingdom and also helped out some of the world’s poorest communities since launching back in 2010.

The director’s cut version is an adapted version of the real British Airways inflight safety video. The video will roll out across short-haul flights from the beginning of July, and will then proceed to feature across their long-haul flights from August 1.

Celebrities that feature in this second edition are:

  • Chabuddy G (Asim Chaudhry)

  • Joanna Lumley
  • Jourdan Dunn
  • Sir Michael Caine
