Fiji Airways’ updated codeshare agreement with Alaska Airlines, enabling multiple connection options for passengers travelling to and from the USA.

The national carrier for Fiji, Fiji Airways announced a brand new codeshare agreement with Alaska Airlines offering a huge amount of connection options for its passengers connecting through Fiji Airways’ San Francisco Hub. Guests from both airlines can now easily connect to and from Fiji (NAN) to 19 cities around the United States, including destinations such as the picturesque Honolulu (HNL), the party destination Las Vegas (LAS) or the political, business hub of Washing D.C. (DCA).

Previously both airlines only held codeshare agreements for flights from Seattle and Portland to Fiji, via San Francisco.

“Our partnership with Alaska Airlines keeps growing from strength to strength. Their extensive North American network offers guests from some of the region’s most populous cities a convenient connection to our home – Fiji – and its renowned tourism attractions.” Said Mr. Andre Viljoen, Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO.

Fiji aren’t the only winners out of this new codeshare agreement members of Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program can also earn and redeem miles for travel on Fiji Airways. The new codeshare flights are now available to be booked online.

“Extending our codeshare agreement with Fiji Airways in San Francisco means we can offer seamless connections with major U.S. cities including Washington, D.C., Boston and San Diego,” said Andrew Harrison, Alaska Airlines’ Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. “Our loyal customers can look forward to a hassle-free, premium experience traveling to and from the coveted South Pacific islands.” Added Mr. Viljoen.
